Guggenheim Museum Presents “Gillian Wearing: Wearing Masks”
This month, The Guggenheim Museum opens the first North American retrospective of Gillian Wearing’s photographic investigation of identity in an increasingly performative culture. In 2011, Border Crossings interviewed Wearing, where she discussed the self-involved body, the authentic self, and “the truth about the way we live”.
