Steven Lambke a Finalist for the SOCAN Songwriting Prize

Steven Lambke (Baby Eagle) and Tamara Lindeman (Weather Station) have joined forces and are finalists for the 2013 SOCAN Songwriting Prize. Lambke recently performed with John K Samson (Weakerthans) at the Border Crossings Special Issue reception at the 55th Venice Biennale.

Mule In The Flowers was the first song to be written for The Weather Station Duets series. A series of collaborations between Lindeman and the songwriters she admires, the series was launched in February, 2013.

Tamara Lindeman has released two albums as The Weather Station, including 2011’s celebrated All Of It Was Mine. She is a member of Bruce Peninsula, and has sung with Bahamas, Marine Dreams, and Daniel Romano.

Steven Lambke has released four albums as Baby Eagle, including 2010’s Dog Weather and 2012’s Bone Soldiers. From 1999 to 2009 he was member of The Constantines. He runs You’ve Changed Records, the label he founded in 2009 with Daniel Romano.
