Meredith Monk wins The Dorothy and Lillian Gish Prize
Border Crossings would like to congratulate Meredith Monk on winning The Dorothy and Lillian Gish Prize, and award created to celebrate artists that have “pushed the boundaries of an art form, contributed to social change and paved the way for the next generation.”

The award was created in 1994 and has honoured artist such as Maya Lin, Shirin Neshat, Laurie Anderson, Elizabeth LeCompte, Merce Cunningham, Arthur Miller and Isabel Allende, to name a few.
