Border Crossings Welcomes Caroline Mousseau
Border Crossings is delighted to welcome Caroline Mousseau to the new position of Administrative Director where she joins the magazine’s current staff positions of Editor; Operations and Circulations; Advertising and Distribution Coordinator; Special Projects Coordinator; and Accounting.
Caroline Mousseau graduated with a Masters of Fine Arts from the University of Guelph in 2020. In 2019, just prior to her graduation, she received the prestigious Joseph Plaskett postgraduate award in painting. She received her undergraduate degree — a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Emily Carr University of Art and Design, Vancouver. While studying, Caroline worked with the Canadian Drug Policy Coalition, Simon Fraser University, Vancouver as Program and Operations Coordinator. From 2020 until 2023 she was Operations Manager for the Canadian Drug Policy Coalition.
She brings to her work as Administrative Director her decade-long experience in administration and planning, as well as her notable accomplishments in the cultural sector, as a painter.
“I am thrilled for the opportunity to be part of the Border Crossings team, its many featured artists, writers and readers, in the continued endeavour to enrich the conversations on art and culture. The voices in Border Crossings offer passionate, multi-faceted presentations and perceptions on the contemporary world of art around us,” Caroline Mousseau said.
We are delighted to have her join Border Crossings, knowing we will flourish together in this new association. Caroline begins her tenure mid August 2023, just as Border Crossings is publishing a big new Painting Issue. It’s a fitting welcome and a fortuitous beginning.
