Issue No. 133 Launch Party Images

On March 12, under the neon glow of the Sherbrook Inn Bar’s beer signs, we launched our newest issue in Winnipeg, Canada. Issue 133: we are monsters contains a solid table of contents, including interviews with Harmony Korine and David Altmejd, and work by Jim Holyoak, Melanie Authier, Jack Burman, Geofffrey James, Sophie Jodoin, Tammy Salzl, Lisa Wood, Guy Maddin and Lee Henderson.

Thanks to our generous sponsors Tint Marketing, Quantum Graphics, Robert Enright and Meeka Walsh, to our fabulous guests, to the staff of the Sherby and to The Tallest Poppy for the spicy eats! Enjoy the issue. And the photos (by Brian Hunter).

“I sometimes imagine myself as a giant made of glass filled with a veritable Noah’s ark of curiosa Americana—beasts and crawling things and fowl of the heavens, strange books and works of art, mechanical oddities and memories—lurching down Beach Boulevard inthe middle of the night, until I wade into the Pacific Ocean as the fog rolls in, and keep wading.” -from Daniel Baird’s essay, “The Very Rich Monsters of Art,” Issue 133.
