GUESTART: EXCLUSIVE ONLINE FEATURE

Border Crossings is pleased to introduce a new online feature called, ‘guestart’: an invited guest contributors’ periodic feature where artists, poets, critics, filmmakers, and like-minded individuals create posts, exclusively for Border Crossings’ website. Posts will range in subject and style from photo essays, to lists, to journals, to ponderings on daily events. You won’t find these musings anywhere else.

On Monday, July 15, our first guest post will come from acclaimed Winnipeg-based artist, Michael Dumontier. A founding member of the Royal Art Lodge (now defunct), Dumontier’s minimalist paintings draw inspiration from everyday objects: a match, a pencil, an envelope. He has had solo exhibitions in New York, Winnipeg, Boston and Padova, Italy.

NOTE: Watch for the Borderview on Michael Dumontier and Neil Farber’s sardonic and hysterical, “Animals with Sharpies” (Drawn and Quarterly, 2013) in our upcoming Issue 127.
