Border Crossings’ Editor, Meeka Walsh and Senior Contriubting Editor, Robert Enright have been invited to guest-curate the upcoming exhibition, Winnipeg Now. The show which will kick-off the 100th Anniversary for the Winnipeg Art Gallery, will feature thirteen Winnipeg artists working in a range of disciplines.
The work will include painting, sculpture, drawing, film, video installation and storytelling.
The artists include: KC Adams, Daniel Barrow, Paul Butler, Shawna Dempsey and Lorri Millan, Michael Dudeck, Marcel Dzama, Sarah Anne Johnson, Rodney LaTourelle, Guy Maddin, Kent Monkman, Dominique Rey and Jennifer Stillwell. The exhibition will be accompanied by an extensive publication with essays by international critics and interviews with all 13 artists.
