Erika Dueck National Winner of BMO Financial Group’s 1st Art!

Erika Dueck from the University of Manitoba was named the National Winner of the BMO Financial Group’s 1st Art! Invitational Student Art Competition. The prize, now celebrating its eighth anniversary, awards one national winner a prize of $10,000, and 12 regional winners are each awarded $5,000.

In addition to the prize money, the national winner’s work is added to the BMO art collection, where it will be in fine company with work by other celebrated Canadian artists, Kenojuak Ashevak, Emily Carr, Paterson Ewen, Tom Forestall, Marc-Aurèle Fortin, Lawren Harris, Thaddeus Holownia, David Milne, Margaret Priest, Denyse Thomasos, Ian Wallace and others.
